Fundraising is a key objective of the Foundation as it enables us to fulfill our objective in supporting Parktown Boys High School to be able to maintain its high standards of education, cultural and sporting activities and facilities.
Notable Achievements
Some of the most notable achievements of the Foundation and its fundraising endeavors include:
- The development of the new hostel, which was commissioned in 2015 and opened in 2016. The building has been valued at R44 million.
- The construction of the Sydney Klevansky Sports Centre, and
- The Surgite House building, adjacent to the main sports field.
Through your contribution towards the Lions Legacy Fund, the Foundation will be able to continue supporting the school in the areas of scholarships and infrastructure, maintenance and development. As part of our strategic objective to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the school we have also created an endowment fund with a target of raising R100m.
